Sacred Sound Wednesdays

Yolanda Lozano has over 20 years of extensive bicultural training in the healing arts from master teachers in India, China and the

United States.

She integrates breathing techniques, toning and chanting, meditation, movement, vibrational energy healing, and self-care while listening to the True Self within. She has been a beloved member of the Flowering Heart Community since the very early days.  She has freely offered her gifts and helped to expand the community and the vision for lifting consciousness.

Usually Yolanda brings very large crystal bowls,  a set of Koshi chimes, song pods, ting-shas, Indian bells, a large rain stick as well as two large Tibetan bowls and several tuning forks to bring balance to the sound healing session.

In this meditation, you are welcome to lay back, get comfortable and enjoy this time for deep relaxation, decompressing your stress, worry or angst.  It is your time for deep self care.

Sound Healing  with Yolanda is every 2 & 4th Wednesday of the the Month from 7:30-9:00 P.M.  $20.  Students & Seniors $10.

Frank uses Tibetan bowls created by monks who were chanting while manually pounding the metal into form. Frank brings the spirit of Bhutan and Tibet into his sound healing sessions, along with practical meditative practices.

He also uses other instruments including drums to bring us in tune with the earth.  Occasionally he will offer drum circles where you can bring your own instruments or use ours.  Check the calendar tosee when the next drum circle will be held.

Sound Healing with Frank Panek is every 1st and 3rd Wednesday of the month.  7:30 - 9PM,  Donation-based.

Different guest artists will also be offering their unique gifts on occasion, so please check out the dates and personal bios below for more information.

Our Lineage at Flowering Heart Center includes White Buffalo Calf Woman.

She has appeared to us a couple of times during our journey with this center.

Frank has a sacred ceremonial pipe which is used on rare occasions to call in the

Native American ancestors and honor them.  These ancestors have appeared to us

from time to time, starting with the ceremony in 2012 to formally establish the center

in our Downers Grove location.  We had been holding weekly events there since 2009.

When we moved to our  current location in Wheaton, we were gifted with a beautiful

pastel drawing of White Buffalo Calf woman which now hangs in a place of honor.

We have monthly drum circles to celebrate this connection.

While we honor all paths at Flowering Heart Center, we especially honor our lineages

which include the Native Americans, Sri  Amma and Bhagavan in India, Shematrix

in  Australia, and the Seraphic Order of the Flowering Heart

(from our sister center in Clearwater).

Harmony Halberg Polo

For the past 9 years, Harmony has been on a journey of spirituality.  This is where she was introduced to Kirtan/ Sanskrit.  Her first experience of Kirtan was like meeting a old friend.  It felt natural, easy and very familiar. For the past 9 years, Harmony has worked on developing her unique connection to the Mantras.  She has learned by directly experiencing the powerful nature of these sound vibrational prayers.

She has studied with Masters of Kirtan in India and in Bali.  She has also studied Indian classical music which has opened her reality to a whole new world. Harmony plays a instrument called a Harmonium.  This is considered a wind instrument as the left hand creates the wind and the right hand plays the instrument which looks like a piano.  She is a trained piano player which gives her hands the mobility to create hypnotic sounds.

Harmony offers not only Kirtan and Sound Medicine, she also offers Sacred Haircuts and other forms of healing that is focused on liberation and freedom.  For more information on Harmony please visit her website www.harmonypolo.com
